Beth Presley is a groundbreaker in more ways than one. Taking over as CEO of Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs, she’s not only the first new face in that role in forty-three years, she’s also the first woman to hold that position in the history of the local organization.

In 2014 The ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis - 'Lou Gehrig's disease') Organization became involved in social media phenomenon challenging hundreds of people, including many prominent celebrities, to dump a bucket of ice water on their heads, a shocking sensation to the nervous system which the disease attacks.

Our administrative staff and family members accepted the challenge and passed it on to other Boys & Girls Clubs in the region. Together, hundreds of dollars were raised for the cause.

Nationally, more the challenge brought in more than $13 million in donations.
